Have you seen the lead story in our Movers & Shakers section about Meckler Bulger & Tilson being selected as the first LexisNexis Expert Content Provider? Sounds impressive, doesn’t it? But what the heck does it mean?
Well, in corporate-speak, it means that the Meckler firm is part of an exclusive new LexisNexis insurance content development initiative. In just plain English, in means that the folks at Meckler really know their stuff when it comes to insurance and that they’re going to contribute some of that wisdom and experience to the Insurance Law Center. That is what Web 2.0 is all about, after all—sharing the wealth. We’re fortunate to have them on board.
But that’s only part of the story. In addition to Meckler Bulger & Tilson, we’ve put together quite the elite group to develop insurance content for the LexisNexis audience. And it all involved a rigorous selection process. We wanted firms with a national presence. We wanted firms that regularly handle complex legal issues and are instrumental in building the law in their various areas of expertise. We wanted Titans—and we got them.
Our cabal of Expert Content Providers will eventually include five firms that tend to take the insurer’s side and five firms that favor the policyholder’s side. In addition to authoring commentary and Appleman chapters, these firms will be writing about issues and trends in our Insider Perspective blog, recording podcasts and commenting on other authors’ work. Look for more information about other LexisNexis Expert Content Providers in the next few weeks.
As the premium offerings from our Expert Content Providers are launched, we promise to continue to search for ways to step up our game. We hope you’ll continue to come along for the ride.
