Transcript Collection Puts Researchers Closer to Experts' Abilities and Flaws

It’s as close as you can get to being in the room when an expert witness is deposed or testifies.

New LexisNexis® Expert Witness Transcripts puts you in touch with a collection of 2,000+ full-text and excerpted transcripts of expert witnesses known to have testified in cases reported by LexisNexis attorney editors. (Over time, this collection by the LexisNexis legal editors will grow to include full-text transcripts of experts who have testified in a variety of case types across the nation in both federal and state courts.)
Witness Transcripts can help litigators:

  • obtain expert names and, as references, the names of attorneys with whom an expert has worked;
  • study lines of questioning and responses in similar cases;
  • better understand the subject of the expert testimony—its concepts and issues;
  • learn how to prove factual issues that require expert testimony;
  • better prepare for cross-examination and/or impeachment of expert witnesses

LexisNexis Expert Witness Transcripts gives you access to PDFs of the actual full text and/or excerpted transcript of deposition/trial testimony of expert witnesses in numerous litigation matters.

The brief overview document associated with each transcript can be searched. Each segmented overview includes Transcript Title (e.g., Deposition of Robert Smith, M.D.), Court, Counsel, Judges, Court Reporter and Expert Name.

LexisNexis Expert Witness Transcripts complement other expert witness resources available through lexis.com, including new Expert Witness Summaries, a variety of expert witness directories, national and state verdicts & settlements, Daubert Tracker—Case Reports, Mealey’s Daubert Report and more. Go to PUBLIC RECORDS tab > Public Records > Courts & Filings > Jury Verdicts and Experts to see more resources. Also get detailed background—including news—on experts with the LexisNexis Expert Analyzer report via lexis.com. Select Analyzer on the main menu screen of the LEGAL tab.
