LexisNexis® Related Content (August 2009)

Related Content is a new feature for caselaw through lexis.com® that surfaces relevant related content with convenient links to additional information and insight about the case you are viewing. This feature allows the researcher to more fully understand the impact of the case, the arguments to support the case, or the impact of various issues found within the case. Related Content will appear in a lefthand pane at the caselaw document level.

Related Content eliminates the need to conduct additional searches and gain valuable insight without changing the way a researcher searches the lexis.com service today. Researchers can easily access relevant materials, some that they might not have known existed. Researchers can gain deeper insights from the most comprehensive collection of analytical content available.

Related Content will appear in a left-hand pane on a caselaw document. The initial launch will offer three key areas of related content.

  • Full Case related documents and Analysis Official Reports PDFs, Related Court Materials like Briefs, Pleadings, Motions and Dockets and Premium Case Analysis like LexisNexis® Case in Brief and Expert Commentaries.
  • Issue Analysis, providing suggestion for additional analysis on the various issues found within the caselaw document across our collection of analytical content including ALR®, Am Jur®, State Jurisprudences such as Witkin, Matthew Bender®, BNA® and Law Review documents.
  • Document Outline links and navigational aid to help the user navigate quickly and easily to various parts of the caselaw document.
