Looking for a needle in a haystack? Or, finding information about a person who may not want to be found? (October 21, 2009)
By Carol Barra

Have you been asked to find information about an individual and you think you have searched everywhere and come up empty?

Recently, millions of additional phone numbers have been added to the LexisNexis Public Records source Alternate Phone Numbers. This is definitely a source worth searching. Included are unpublished phone numbers, cell phone numbers and phone numbers that are available through directory assistance. But, this source makes it really easy to find phone numbers for individuals. If I search with a first and last name I get results with exactly what I typed in. I also get results where the person may have used only an initial as their first name. This is important because often women will use only the first letter of their first name. And, I get both with one search!
