Bankruptcy Datasource (May 25, 2011)
By Gayle Lynn-Nelson
I need a source that covers public companies in bankruptcy and regularly tracks and updates records for those companies.
What you need is the Bankruptcy Datasource group source. It provides company profiles, reorganization plans and other news. It is a great way to use precision search commands. If, for instance, you wanted to track what is happening with Borders bookstores, you could enter a search that might look like this: caps(plural(borders)). You will retrieve bankruptcy documents and news and be able to track and update the search. Keep in mind that this works for companies with assets greater than $50 million.
