Getting to Know Leanne
The biography above details Leanne’s professional qualifications and experience. Now it’s time to get to know Leanne, the person. Leanne reveals a few cozier insights about herself in the questions below.
1. What technology has transformed your life, you can’t imagine living without it now, and why?
Caller ID — I save countless hours a year now that I don’t have to try to find a polite way to hang up on telephone solicitors!
2. You are traveling around the world, and only have room for two books. Which two do you take and why?
1001 Places To See Before You Die so I’ll know where I should stop on the trip.
Tales of a Female Nomad by Rita Golden Gelman. It’s a terrific travel memoir that shows how being open to all that travel offers can enrich a life.
3. Tell me a song that when you hear it, you always get a smile on your face.
“Boogie Shoes” by KC and the Sunshine Band.
4. What do you order at Starbucks?
In the summer — Chocolate Brownie Frappuccino. (I blame former LRC Linda Hutchinson for this.)
In the winter — one of the seasonal lattes. Gingerbread is my current favorite.
5. What are two of your favorite Web sites, and why?
JustGive.org is a terrific way to find charitable organizations of all kinds. You can purchase “gift baskets” that allow you to support a number of charities around a theme. You can also purchase gift cards that allow the recipient to choose the charity they want to support.
