Lexis® Web (June 2, 2010)
By Bridget MacMillan

If you are overwhelmed by the amount of results you get when searching the open web, and an inability to easily filter through the results, then try Lexis® Web. Lexis® Web is a free online legal search engine. LexisNexis® editors compiled and validated the legal content that comprises Lexis Web. Additionally, you have the ability to easily narrow your results using filters like citations, jurisdiction, file format, etc. The next time you have a research request in which you would like more information before using a paid service, try Lexis Web. The filters are not only useful in narrowing the results, but they also provide insight into your search, surfacing related topics, practice areas, and the Web sites that generated the results. See if it can help make your free Web searching a more productive experience. Click here to see the Lexis Web User Guide.
