Liz Peoples
Liz is the Librarian Relations Consultant for the New England Region which includes: Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and upstate New York.
Liz has experience as a librarian in both a law firm and corporate library environments. Most recently Liz worked as a Reference Librarian at Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP in Boston, where in addition to working with the practice groups, she also supported the firm’s marketing department. As a reference librarian, manager and director at Fidelity Investments, Liz has experience in the areas of company, industry and securities research as well as management and contract negotiations.
Liz is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries, Association of Boston Law Librarians, Law Librarians of New England, Association of Law Libraries of Upstate New York, Special Libraries Association, and the Legal Marketing Association.
She received her B.A from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her M.L.S. from Simmons College in Boston.

1. What technology has transformed your life, you can’t imagine living without it now, and why?
I used to depend heavily on fax machines—wow now being able to send documents in a PDF format is awesome!!
2. If you won a trip to any where in the world, where would you go, and why?
I would visit Portugal. I have always wanted to visit this country because of its great climate, coastline, art and history.
3. You are traveling around the world, and only have room for two books. Which two do you take and why?
The Poisonwood Bible because it is so important to understand the environment that you step into and not try to impose your culture on others.
I am currently reading Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortensen which is a great book and a book that I would bring also.
4. Tell me a song that when you hear it, you always get a smile on your face.
“Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves.
5. If you weren’t a librarian, what would you be, and why?
I would be a gardener that travels to schools and urban communities to set up community gardens.
6. What is your favorite meal and why?
My favorite meal is soft-shelled crab. I love the taste of crab and tangy tartar sauce, with a side of French fries and an ice cream drumstick for dessert.
7. What are two of your favorite Web sites, and why?
Boston.com because it keeps me up to date on the town, sports teams and weather here in Beantown.
Coolrunning.com because gives me ideas for road races to run.
