Weekly Tips from Librarian Relations Consultants August, 2008

Wall Street Journal, WSJ.com (August 6, 2008)

Where can you go to get up-to-the-minute premium business news, as well as stock prices, special interest news stories, and interactive features like blogs and video?

Dianne Chambers, Librarian Relations Consultant, believes there is only one place to get this kind of information, and that is the Wall Street Journal online at WSJ.com. WSJ.com is available to you through LexisNexis and can be found in the News and Business tab under Featured Content and Services. Click on WSJ.com and you will have access to today's online edition, as well as the following:

  • Today's Print Edition (page one of each section of the print edition is available to view)
  • The Law Page
  • Technology
  • Markets
  • Personal Finance
  • And many other popular features

In addition, WSJ.com has excellent interactive features such as blogs, videos and market analysis charts. In particular, the Law Blog is a popular, well-written and well-regarded interactive feature.

WSJ.com can also be customized according to the information you want to see. When you click on My Online Edition, you can choose the companies, industries, markets and columns to you want to display. In addition, you can set this up to be e-mailed right to your desktop on a daily basis.

Another great feature of WSJ.com is that you can search for information about companies, individuals, issues or industries by using the search feature. You are not limited to the current day’s news, but can search for information within the last ninety days.

If it’s premium business news and top stories you need, go to the Wall Street Journal online at WSJ.com through lexis.com. It is that easy!
