Quick – I Need Company Information! (June 3, 2009)

Librarian Relations Consultant Carol Barra frequently receives the question: Where can I quickly find out if there is information available on lexis.com® for a company?

She recommends the All Company File, with the source path News & Business/Company & Financial/All Company Information (excluding Investext®; and is the former compny;compny file with improvements!). This is a great source to quickly determine if there is any information on a company, especially private and smaller companies where it can be difficult to find information. This source searches across most of the company and executive directories available through lexis.com. Also included are SEC Filings for public companies and the D&B® DUNS® Private Market Insight source that covers over 250,000 of the largest private companies. This is a very cost effective way to find basic information about companies.
