A.M. Best

The A.M. Best Company (www.ambest.com) publishes books and magazines with ratings of, reports on and news about insurance companies. Probably the most popular A.M. Best publications are the Best's Insurance Reports, which provide profiles of insurance companies. The Reports are published in three series: "Life-Health / United States," "Property-Casualty / United States" and "International."

All A.M. Best publications materials can be purchased on the Bestline Web site (www.ambest.com/bestline/index.html). And you don't have to buy a whole book -- you can buy individual reports, ratings and news stories using a credit card number.

Best Reports are also available on Lexis (COMPNY;AMBEST).
