Legislation: The laws of the Bahamas are periodically compiled into The Statute Law of the Bahamas, available online in The Bahamas Laws Online or in print from the Attorney General's Office (242-322-1141 or -1142). You can update these sections using the "Supplementary Volume" and "Statutory Instruments" in The Bahamas Laws Online or The Commonwealth of the Bahamas Consolidated Index of Statutes and Subsidiary Legislation, which is compiled by the law library at the University of the West Indies in Barbados. The law library at Florida State University has a copy of the Index; you can call the FSU library (850-644-4095) to find out if a section of the compiled statutes has been affected by a new law.
If you subscribe, the Digital Session Laws Collection on HeinOnline has session laws back to 1980.
Case Law: Bahamas case law is included in the West Indian Law Reports (Lexis/Butterworths) since 1958 and in the Law Reports of the Bahamas (Lexis/Butterworths) from 1965-1980 and 1987-1990.
More information on how to get Bahamas legal materials is included in the general entry for the "Caribbean."
