Consumer Confidence Index

The Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) is calculated and published by the Conference Board. The latest CCI is published in the Board's monthly Consumer Confidence Survey and posted on the Board's Web site (www.conference-board.org/economics/consumerConfidence.cfm). The index was started in 1967. It compares results to its base year 1985, when the index was 100.

For back figures, call the Conference Board (212-759-0900) or find someone who keeps back issues of the Consumer Confidence Survey; if you subscribe, historical dated is posted on the Consumer Reasearch Center Web site (www.consumerresearchcenter.org).
