Fortune Magazine

Fortune is one of the most popular business magazines in the U.S.

Fortune's web address is http://fortune.com. Their phone number is 212-522-1212 (1-877-604-3909 for customer service). The Fortune Web page has an "archive" going back, I believe, to 1995. Last I heard, articles were also available on EBSCO.

Fortune puts out several company lists including the Fortune 500 (also known as the Fortune 1000 List), which ranks 1000 U.S. companies by revenue, and the Fortune Global 500, which ranks 500 companies from all countries by revenue. The current lists are posted on Fortune's Rankings page. Note: More data for each company may be available in the print version.

Before 1995, Fortune used to have four company lists: (1) the Fortune 500 Services, (2) the Fortune 500 Industrial, (3) the Global 500 Services and (4) the Global 500 Industrial.
