Maine

Internet links to government agencies statutes, regulations, cases, etc. are posted by FindLaw and Washlaw. Primary legal materials are also available from Lexis, Westlaw and LOIS. Subscription services Versuslaw and Fastcase have cases back to 1950; Google Scholar has cases back to 1950 for free. Supreme and appellate court cases are published in West's Atlantic Reporter.

You can check the status of a pending bill through the Michigan Legislature's bill search. For questions about pending bills, call the Legislative Information Office at 207-287-1692. You can track the progress of a bill on Lexis or Westlaw (ME-BILLTRK). You can also get the full text of bills from Lexis or Westlaw (ME-BILLTXT or just ME-BILLS, which has both the bills and the tracking record).

West publishes Maine Civil Practice, and Towers Publishing puts out William Wells' Maine Legal Research Guide.
