State Bills and Bill Tracking

Generally, current bills and bill status are posted on each state legislature's home page. (The National Conference of State Legislatures posts links to all State Legislatures pages at http://ncsl.org/pulic/sitesleg.htm). Otherwise, you can get bills from Lexis and Westlaw. For older bills, call the document delivery service of a state, bar or law school library in the relevant state.

You can do a simple search for bills from all states for free using Scout. For more sophisticated searching, use Lexis, Westlaw or another commercial service.
