The Third Circuit handles appeals from Federal trial courts located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and the Virgin Islands. The posts Third Circuit Web site court rules and procedures, contact information, forms, court calendars and opinions from the past week. Docket sheets are available from PACER and commercial vendors (see the "Docket Sheets" entry).
Opinions: "Recent Opinions" are posted free on the Court web site. Older opinions are available free from Google Scholar (1920s-present), the Villanova law school library (May 1994-present) and Findlaw (1995-present). For deeper databases, nicer printouts, etc., use Lexis or Westlaw.
Records and Briefs: Current docket sheets, briefs, pleadings, orders, etc. should be available from PACER and the related commercial vendors (see "Docket Sheets").
