Common Questions:

What drives natural search?
Search engines regularly crawl the Web to gather data about the sites they find. They use this data to rank the sites' relevance to various search criteria via a unique algorithm. Each search engine has its own algorithm that values "on-page" Web site content and "off page" authority. The outcome of these rankings is displayed to the public as natural search engine results. Improvement in natural search does not come immediately. Results occur over time and require ongoing monitoring and investment to achieve the best results.

What drives paid search?
The top and right-hand sections of a search results page are reserved for paid placements. Paid search results are achieved by buying key words on the search engines through an auction platform where the highest bidders with the best "quality score" algorithm are given higher rank for specified keywords. Improvements in rankings for paid search results can change daily as bidding occurs in Google and Yahoo!'s PPC auctions.
