Corporate law is the law concerning the creation and regulation of corporations. This also includes management, corporate governance and ethics, change, and the growth and dissolution of business entities, whether they are corporations, partnerships, or limited liability companies. Corporate law is sometimes referred to as business law. Other areas that come under the umbrella of corporate law are corporate finance, corporate compliance, corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions and private equity.
