Tetralogic Pharmaceuticals Appoints Dr. Andrew Pecora Chairman
MALVERN, Pa. — TetraLogic Pharmaceuticals, a privately held biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing drugs that modulate cell death pathways, has announced the appointment of Dr. Andrew Pecora, FACP, as chairman of the company’s Board of Directors, on which he has served since January 2007.
Dr. Pecora provides TetraLogic with expertise in the field of hematology and oncology, cancer research, novel therapeutic development and clinical trial design. Under his leadership, the Hackensack University Cancer Center has become one of the top cancer centers in the United States. Dr. Pecora has spent the past 18 years in various capacities at Hackensack University Medical Center, currently serving as chairman and executive administrative director of The Cancer Center.
He also serves as chairman and was a founder of Amorcyte Inc., a company developing cell therapies for cardiovascular disease, and as chairman and CEO of a cell therapy manufacturing and services company, Progenitor Cell Therapy LLC.
Dr. Pecora has authored and co-authored numerous articles, abstracts, books, chapters and monographs and is a frequent lecturer in the field of cancer. Before joining Hackensack Medical Center, he was a hematology-oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Pecora is licensed to practice medicine in both New Jersey and New York and is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey.
