ATLANTA — Powell Goldstein LLP has announced the launch of its new Sustainability Practice.  The firm-wide group brings together attorneys from all of the firm's locations and centralizes the work they are already doing in this area on behalf of clients.

The Powell Goldstein Sustainability Practice works with clients on diverse issues that often lead to changes in production and consumption — sustaining business while protecting natural resources.  The practice will work in tandem with the firm's Climate Strategies & Insights practice to advise businesses on a number of key issues, including carbon trading and credits and related financing, energy tax credits, environmental policy and legislation, international negotiations post-Kyoto, zoning, sustainable building (e.g., LEED) certifications and requirements and related matters.
