Florida Workers' Compensation Law Bars Sexual Assault Suit: Court
LAKELAND, Fla. – (Business Insurance) The workers’ compensation exclusive remedy rule bars a lawsuit by the parents of a 16-year-old sexually assaulted by the manager of a retail store where their daughter worked, Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal ruled May 9.
