Senate Rejects Windstorm Amendment to Flood Bill
WASHINGTON – (Business Insurance) The Senate has overwhelmingly rejected an amendment that would expand the National Flood Insurance Program to cover windstorm as well as flood damage. The 74-to-19 vote came late May 7 during debate on legislation that would extend the NFIP beyond September, when it is slated to expire unless reauthorized. Full version available here.
