Court asks government's views on states' patent liability
WASHINGTON -- (AP) The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Bush administration to weigh in on a long-running fight between states and big business over whether states can be held liable for patent infringement.
At issue is whether states should be allowed to claim immunity from infringement lawsuits under the Constitution's 11th Amendment . . . .
