NEW YORK – (AP)  Drug developer Pfizer Inc. said late Thursday that a Canadian court upheld a patent covering the active ingredient in its blood-pressure drug Norvasc.

The drug has lost patent protection in the in March of 2007 and sales were cut in half during the most recent quarter.
