IRVINE, CA; -- NWP Services Corporation (NWP), the leading provider of proven financial transaction processing solutions for the multifamily housing industry, today announced that Michael Foote has joined the company as Regulatory Counsel.
Prior to joining NWP, Mr. Foote served as General Counsel and Regulatory Affairs Manager for ista North America. Additionally, he has been actively involved with the National Submetering and Utility Allocation Association (NSUAA), most recently serving as Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors. Through his work in the areas of submetering and billing, Foote has gained valuable experience in the lobbying, advocacy, technical, customer relations, operations, and litigation arenas and is one of the few experts on the regulatory aspects of the multifamily housing industry.
Foote has extensive previous experience with regulatory compliance, rule making and interpretation, as well as a background in litigation and transactional work. He served as an Attorney with White and Jankowski L.L.P., specializing in water rights and water quality in Colorado. He held the same position with The Overton Law Firm, where he specialized in commercial advisement and litigation with a concentration on special districts. Prior to his career as an attorney, Foote worked for the National Conference of State Legislatures and was twice published in their State Legislature magazine. Foote attended and received a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, with an emphasis on Environmental and Natural Resources Law.
