Alvin D. Lurie



Al Lurie is President of Alvin D. Lurie, P.C. (New York) and also serves as Counsel of Wagner Law Group (Massachusetts).  Mr. Lurie is a tax lawyer and pension and benefits specialist in private practice.  From 1974 to 1978, he served as Assistant Commissioner of Internal Revenue, in charge of Employee Plans & Exempt Organizaions.  Mr. Lurie now serves on the Quality Assurance Group of the American Bar Association Tax Section, reviewing submissions on proposed regulations to the Treasury Department and the IRS. He has served as chair of various committees of the ABA and the New York State Bar Association tax sections, and also as chair of the Special Committee on Pension Simplification of the NYSBA.

Admission to Practice: New York State, District of Columbia, U.S. Supreme Court, Court of Appeals of 2nd Circuit, U.S. Tax Court, and other courts.
