Brett H. Ludwig is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is vice-chair of the firm’s Insurance Dispute Resolution Practice, and a member of the General Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Ludwig focuses his practice on reinsurance counseling and dispute resolution. He has represented both ceding companies and reinsurers in disputes over reinsurance receivables. He has also enforced arbitration provisions in reinsurance treaties against reluctant reinsurers, compelling them to arbitrate under the Federal Arbitration Act. Mr. Ludwig also has a substantial practice in general insurance matters. He has represented insurers in federal courts from New York to California and, including, Wisconsin.
