Robert C. Clifford serves as a consultant to law firms and as an arbitrator and mediator in insurance and litigation matters. He has been the senior partner of a law firm based in Oakland, California, where he represented major insurance companies in litigation and coverage matters. His expertise in general litigation included real property disputes, personal injury litigation, insurance matters, contract disputes, will contests and estate matters, and the defense of professional liability claims, including actions against attorneys, accountants, architects, and engineers. He is a graduate of Stanford University and Stanford Law School and a former member of the Board of Visitors of Stanford Law School. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the California State Bar Association and serves on the committees relating to insurance and litigation matters. Mr. Clifford has been a contributing author to several Matthew Bender and LexisNexis publications, including California Insurance Law and Practice, California Uninsured Motorist Law, and California Mechanics' Lien Law and Construction Industry Practice.
