Schulte Roth & Zabel Expands Business Reorganization Team with Addition Of Brian Pfeiffer
NEW YORK — Sep. 15 — Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP has announced that Brian D. Pfeiffer has joined the firm as a partner in the Business Reorganization Group. Mr. Pfeiffer, who will be working in the New York office, was formerly a bankruptcy and restructuring partner in Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson’s New York office. His expertise extends to all aspects of in-court and out-of-court restructurings of financially distressed businesses, including representations of corporate debtors, official and unofficial creditors’ and equity committees, bondholder committees, lenders, and purchasers and sellers of distressed assets and businesses.
Mr. Pfeiffer has represented creditors’ committees, significant creditors and equity committees in connection with the restructurings of distressed businesses in a wide array of industries, including Washington Mutual, Inc., General Motors Nova Scotia Finance Company, Copia, Inc., Reliant Energy Channelview LP, Dana Corporation, Pope & Talbot, Inc., Inland Fiber Group LLC (f/k/a U.S. Timberlands Klamath Falls LLC), and Primus Telecommunications Holdings, Inc. Mr. Pfeiffer’s company-side representations in connection with in-court and out-of-court restructurings and sale transactions include Drive America Holdings, Inc., Broadway Partners, Macklowe Properties, Inc., Impsat Fiber Networks, Inc., and ANC Rental Corp.
Named as an “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer” in 2008 by Turnarounds & Workouts, Mr. Pfeiffer received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 1999 and his B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany in 1996.
