Nathalie Martin joined the UNM law faculty in 1998. She focuses her teaching and research on commercial law and bankruptcy. She is a former American Bankruptcy Institute Resident Scholar. In that capacity, she has appeared on CCN and other television shows, and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and many other newspapers. In addition to commercial law, she also publishes articles and books on elder law.
Professor Martin turned to teaching after 10 years in private practice as a bankruptcy attorney.
Since joining the UNM law faculty, Martin has taught summer sessions in Greece and Italy through Temple University's International Programs.
Professor Martin's most recent project involves improving the breadth of courses offered in UNM's business curriculum. She teaches a two-day financial literacy course for law students and undergraduates, in addition to her other courses.
