Corey Ingber

Partner, Landegger, Baron, Lavenant and Ingber

Corey Ingber is a partner with Landegger, Baron, Lavenant and Ingber. He earned his B.A., in 1974 at California State University, Northridge and his J.D., in 1979 at Whittier College School of Law. He has been admitted to practice in California since November 1979.

Corey has been practicing workers’ compensation defense since 1981. He is the former managing partner of Ingber and Ivey. From 1997 to 2009 he was the Sr. Vice President of Claims-Legal for the Zenith Insurance Co., where he headed both Chernow and Lieb in California and oversaw a three office legal department in Florida. During that time, he has been active with the California Workers’ Compensation Institute and the Workers’ Compensation Research Institute.

Corey has extensive experience handling litigation for the defense, including self-insured employers, third party administrators and insurers. He is well known for his expertise in handling of fraud-related issues, highly complex and difficult cases and his teaching and training and educational materials.

Corey has a passion for helping the claims examiners navigate through the complex system of compensation claim handling, once upon a time, known for its simplicity.

He is the former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of West Los Angeles, School of Law and Paralegal Studies.
