Calculate Your Carbon Footprint

Concerned about your own carbon footprint or that of your family?  Check out the EPA’s Personal Emissions Calculator below, which is intended to help “individuals (and households) reduce greenhouse gas emissions and take action.”  As the EPA explains, the calculator will provide you with an estimate of your own greenhouse gas emissions or those of your family.  Once that amount is obtained, the next section of the calculator will allow you to explore actions you and/or your family can take to lower your emissions while reducing your energy and waste disposal costs. For each action you choose to take, the calculator displays the amount of emissions you could avoid and how that amount relates to your total emissions.

EPA’s general climate change site at http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/ is very informative as well and provides much information, including news, FAQs, resources, etc., etc., etc...
