Events 9/15/2008 7:20:46 AM EST Counsel to Counsel Best Practices Forum Tackles Complex Transactions Community Manager, Martindale-Hubbell Connected
"I'm interested in cultural aspects of the deal," says Mosallam, now with Accenture. She's been in many situations where cross-cultural understanding meant the difference between the success or failure of a transaction -- even within the United States, where regional and corporate cultures can vary widely. She'll be talking about choosing the right team within the right timeframe for your organization's goals and for the deal that's on the table.
Mosallam will be joined by other co-chairs also sharing their transaction approaches between two concurrent sessions. Other topics will include:
- Working with different players in the market: private equity, hedge funds, etc.
- Dealing with the effects of recent market trends, globalization and the current regulatory environment on transactions
- Effectively and efficiently managing the deal flow and the deal team, due diligence and post-deal integration
- Evaluating and optimizing deal structures that create the most value for your company
Also co-chairing the sessions are Christina Gross, managing director of Credit Suisse; Jay Clemens, senior VP and deputy general counsel, eBay Inc.; and Dyan L. Gershman, Transactions and Finance Counsel, General Electric Co.
The forum is free for corporate counsel and runs from 1:30 to 6 p.m. at the Harvard Club, 35 W. 44th St. Registration is required and can be completed online. Create an account or login to post comments.
