RESOLVED, that the Section of Intellectual Property Law, believing that there is sufficient need for greater intellectual property protection than is now available for fashion designs, supports, in principle, enactment of federal legislation to provide a new limited copyright-like protection for such designs; and
NOW THEREFORE, the Section supports enactment of H.R. 2033 ("Design Piracy Prohibition Act"), 110th Cong., lst Sess. (2007) (Delahunt), or similar legislation.
