In a major victory for employers, the Supreme Court of Ohio narrowed the number of claims and potential recovery for employees who are terminated while receiving workers compensation benefits. Mr. Stone and Ms. Monachino explain that in Bickers v. W. & S. Life Ins. Co., 116 Ohio St. 3d 351, 2007 Ohio 6751 (2007), the Supreme Court of Ohio held that employees seeking redress for workers compensation retaliation are limited to pursuing statutory claims under Ohio Revised Code § 4123.90.
