John T. Harding is a Partner in the Boston office of Morrison Mahoney LLP. Mr. Harding has extensive experience in all aspects of handling complex commercial litigation on behalf of a variety of technology companies, banking institutions and other entities. Mr. Harding’s practice includes substantial involvement in large contract disputes, trade secrets litigation, and disputes regarding non-compete agreements in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Mr. Harding has also been involved in many innovative methods of alternative dispute resolution that can achieve his clients’ goals while minimizing the costs of litigation.
Mr. Harding also concentrates his practice in the area of complex insurance coverage and "bad faith" litigation. For more than a decade, Mr. Harding has been involved in representing insurers on a national basis in connection with coverage disputes arising out of underlying environmental, products and pharmaceutical liabilities. Mr. Harding has also litigated a number of cases involving disputes between primary and excess carriers. Mr. Harding has handled cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States and tried a number of large matters to both juries and courts. Mr. Harding has also been responsible for briefing and arguing appeals of these cases in state and federal appellate courts throughout the country. Prior to joining Morrison Mahoney LLP, Mr. Harding was a partner in the Boston office of Zelle & Larson.
Mr. Harding is admitted to the bars of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Harding is a member of the American and Massachusetts Bar Associations, including the ABA's Tort and Insurance Practice Section and the Defense Research Institute. He has been a featured speaker at a number of insurance conferences and is the author of Prior Insurance and Non-Cumulation of Liability Clauses: A Pragmatic Approach, Mealey's Litigation Report, Insurance [Vol. 13, #19, March 16, 1999].
Mr. Harding is a graduate of Duke University (A.B., summa cum laude) and Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude).
