Joseph B. McDonnell is an attorney affiliated with the Swansea, Illinois office of Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C. He graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law, where he was a member of the law review. He is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri and in the United States Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as in the federal courts for the Southern and Central Districts of Illinois. He served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in St. Clair County, Illinois for over eight years and has extensive litigation experience in both civil and criminal cases. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Southwestern Illinois College, where he teaches law courses to paralegal students. Mr. McDonnell’s trial practice has included the defense of legal malpractice suits, product liability actions, industrial accident cases and commercial litigation. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Metropolitan Bar Association of St. Louis, and past president of the St. Clair County (IL) Bar Association. He is also a member of the Bar Association for the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Bar Association and the Appellate Lawyers Association of Illinois. He serves on the board of the Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois.
