About the Authors Matthew Purchase
Matthew Purchase is an attorney at Bowman Gilfillan Inc., practicing in the firm's litigation department at their offices in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a member of the firm's Forensic and White Collar Crime practice area and specialises in the prevention, detection and investigation of white collar crime, assisting clients in dealing with the consequences of such crime, including the initiation of civil and criminal proceedings.
Mr. Purchase has extensive corporate and commercial litigation experience. He also regularly provides fraud prevention and awareness training to public and private sector clients both inside and outside of South Africa and has previously trained members of the Namibian Police and Anti-Corruption Commission.
He has written a number of articles which have been published in the press and in business reports and has previously contributed as a legal expert on the radio. Mr. Purchase obtained B Comm and LLB degrees from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and is a member of both the American and South African Chapters of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
