SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – (PRNewswire) Brooks Kushman law firm has hired Leon E. Redman as a senior attorney and Emily S. Adelman as an associate attorney. The announcement was made by Trademark Practice Managing Shareholder, Anessa Owen Kramer. The appointments further expand the intellectual property (IP) law firm's trademark department, which earlier this year added industry experts Mark S. Sparschu and Timothy J. Quinlan.
"Lee and Emily, and their expertise, are a welcomed addition to the Brooks Kushman trademark team," Kramer said. "Our trademark group is thriving and, as a specialized IP law firm, Brooks Kushman is committed to enhancing the depth and reach of our global trademark practice."
Redman most recently served as IP counsel for Masco Corp. of Taylor, Mich., where he managed IP assets on a worldwide basis for the organization's multiple, large domestic and international subsidiaries. In this position, he managed a portfolio of more than 2,000 trademarks and more than 2,000 patents, as well as IP licensing, enforcement, litigation and related business acquisitions and divestitures in a broad array of industries.
Most recently, Adelman served as an associate attorney at Cook Alex Ltd. of Chicago, where she focused on U.S. and international patent and trademark prosecution matters, litigation, and patent validity and infringement analyses, as well as collaborated on various papers and presentations relating to developing patent and trademark law.
