CHICAGO — More than 1,000 lawyers who are members of DRI — The Voice of the Defense Bar are expected to meet in New Orleans Oct. 22 to 26 for a look at how complex litigation affects businesses and individuals. It is the organization's 13th annual meeting.
Titled "Spice Up Your Practice in the Big Easy," the DRI meeting will feature speakers such as former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich, journalists Juan Williams and Eleanor Clift and scores of prominent legal profession leaders from the judiciary, law firm and in-house counsel sectors.
According to DRI, the annual meeting will feature speakers, panel discussions or workshops on legal issue in today's headlines, including product liability, intellectual property, drug and medical liability, commercial litigation and professional liability. Many of the programs provide CLE (continuing legal education) credits.
