WASHINGTON, D.C. — Attorney Jeff Ifrah, a shareholder with the Washington, D.C., office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, has been appointed to a two-year term as a co-chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Criminal Justice Section White Collar Crime Committee’s Qui Tam Subcommittee.
As co-chair, Ifrah will lead the subcommittee towards accomplishing the goals of putting together programs on cutting-edge white collar crime issues, analyzing and drafting policy for the Criminal Justice Section and the ABA House of Delegates, as well as retaining members and mentoring future leaders.
The ABA White Collar Crime Committee explores practice problems relating to such issues as health care fraud, work place crimes and criminal sentencing guidelines for organizations. The committee also develops policy and sponsors annual continuing legal education (CLE) programs on white collar crime, health care fraud, gaming, qui tam enforcement/civil False Claims Act and money laundering.
Ifrah focuses his practice on defending organizations and individuals confronted by whistleblower allegations as well as litigating civil and criminal cases against the federal government. He received his J.D. and undergraduate degrees from YeshivaUniversity.
