NEWTON, Mass. -- The Law Offices of James Sokolove (LOJS) has announced that its MesoRC Web site (www.MesoRC.com) has received a prestigious WebAward from the Web Marketing Association as one of the best Web sites in 2008. Joining prior winners in the Health Care Standard of Excellence category, the Web site scored a first-ever win for a law firm in that category.
This year’s competition saw more than 2,400 sites from 45 countries being judged in 96 industry categories. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation and technology.
Working with their agency, Mindfire Interactive, the firm sought to create a groundbreaking online resource center that would give voices to mesothelioma victims, their loved ones, and those afflicted by other asbestos-related cancers.
Nurtured by a licensed social worker, the MesoRC community has seen steady growth since its launch. Community members can log on to share stories, connect with other mesothelioma victims and access the latest information on the disease. Joining the community also creates a donation from the firm to a research center selected by the community member. Mesothelioma is a fast-progressing and deadly cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.
The Web Marketing Association was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and development of the best Web sites on the World Wide Web. More information about the WebAwards can be found at www.webaward.org.
For almost 30 years, LOJS has focused on reinventing how people obtain legal services. More information about LOJS can be found at www.jimsokolove.com.
