Richard Nazarian Named 1 Of 100 Notable People In Medical Device Industry

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Richard Nazarian, Minnetronix president, CEO and co-founder, has been recognized for his contributions to the medical device industry by the editors of Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry (MD&DI).  Nazarian was selected as one of the magazine’s 100 notable people in the medical device industry and was featured in the June 2008 edition of MD&DI.

Nazarian has worked for more than 20 years in the medical device field, beginning with product development efforts for implantable artificial heart electronics, cardiopulmonary bypass systems, laser imaging systems and other products.  He has numerous patents, papers and awards in the medical device field.

In 1996, Nazarian, along with Jonathan Pierce and Dirk Smith, founded St. Paul-based Minnetronix Inc. as a software and electronics company specifically focused on medical device product development and manufacturing.  Since founding Minnetronix, Nazarian has served as president and CEO, providing both business and technical leadership.

Minnetronix is a medical device company specializing in the design, manufacturing and support of electronics-based medical products. Minnetronix’ engineers and manufacturing teams provide expertise on a wide range of Class II and Class III medical equipment such as cardiovascular systems, point-of-care diagnostic instruments, therapeutic devices, implantable devices and monitoring equipment.
