PHILADELPHIA – (Business Wire) Greenberg Traurig, LLP has expanded its Philadelphia office with the addition of attorneys David G. Mandelbaum, Monique M. Mooney, and Marc Davies, who joined as Shareholders in the Environmental and Litigation Practice Groups. Additionally, Sabrina Mizrachi and Caleb J. Holmes joined as Associates.

"We are excited further to grow the Philadelphia office," said Michael Lehr, Managing Shareholder of the office. "This is a terrific group of lawyers from top to bottom. Adding this group to our existing environmental capacity will, I believe, place us among the top environmental practices - in both depth and scope - regionally as well as nationally."

Mandelbaum, formerly partner-in-charge of the Environmental Group at Ballard Spahr, represents clients on issues relating to wastewater, solid waste, and air permitting matters, and advises clients on sustainability and climate change. Examples of his current work include representing a manufacturer in a nationally-significant Superfund sediment contamination case scheduled for trial in early 2010 and an oil and gas developer in litigation over mineral rights in about 187,000 acres of the Allegheny National Forest. Mandelbaum is also vice-chair of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, vice-chair of the Pennsylvania Statewide Water Resources Committee, and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Temple University. He received a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an A.B. from Harvard College.

Mooney represents clients in a wide range of civil and criminal environmental litigation, transactional and regulatory counseling, and compliance matters. Mooney has extensive experience assisting clients with environmental due diligence in connection with real estate and business transactions and assessing the value of environmentally impaired real estate for institutional lenders. She also is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Temple University. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, a M.A. from the University of Colorado, and a B.A. from St. John's College.

Davies also focuses his practice on litigation and environmental issues involving contaminated sediment sites, real estate, business and financial transactions. He has significant experience assisting pharmaceutical and industrial clients in responding to governmental investigations and criminal prosecutions. He received his J.D. from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, a M.A. and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mizrachi and Holmes also focus their practices in the areas of litigation and environmental. Mizrachi received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and a B.A. from Boston University. Holmes received his J.D., Master of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and a B.A. from Middlebury College.
