The Chartwell Law Offices in Pennsylvania Promotes Three of Its Attorneys to Partner

PENNSYLVANIA - The Chartwell Law Offices, LLP, announces that it has promoted three of its attorneys to partner.  They are Megan L. Dougherty, Esquire, Stephen J. Fireoved, Esquire, and Alan Wolfson, Esquire.  Chartwell, headquartered in Valley Forge, PA, is among the 100 largest law firms in Pennsylvania with 46 lawyers practicing out of offices in Valley Forge, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg and Scranton.

The new partners come from diverse backgrounds.  However, they merge in their ability to provide quality services to Chartwell’s clients.

Megan Dougherty is a 2002 graduate of Temple University School of Law.  She joined Chartwell in 2003, becoming its seventh attorney.  Ms. Dougherty has spoken at Bureau of Workers’ Compensation conferences and created innovative women’s marketing events on behalf of the firm.

Steve Fireoved is a 1979 graduate of Temple University School of Law.  He joined Chartwell less than two years ago in 2007.  In addition to practicing at prior defense firms, Steve worked for many years as the workers’ compensation and human resources and labor relations manager of The Budd Company, picking up valuable hands on experience with union relations, employment law and management issues.  Based on Steve’s experience, Chartwell handles FMLA work and other employment law areas.  Steve has handled trust and estate matters for the firm, along with general liability, labor relations and workers’ compensation matters.  He has lectured and written extensively on these legal matters.  Steve continues to serve the nation as a Captain in the United States Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps.  Steve recently spoke at the National Workers’ Compensation conference in Las Vegas.

Al Wolfson is a 1988 graduate of the University of Michigan and a 1994 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law.  He has lectured to several different insurance companies and employers concerning various workers’ compensation issues and continues to well represent Chartwell from its Pittsburgh office.

"When Chartwell sees the opportunity to promote good people and it makes business sense to do so, we strive to enhance the reach of our firm and breadth of services that we can provide to our clients", said Cliff Goldstein, CEO of Chartwell.  "Our future growth is not controlled by any arbitrary limit on the number of lawyers or partners.  We pride ourselves on seeking out and retaining solid people with good business judgment", Goldstein added.

Chartwell opened in 2002 with four lawyers.  The firm was named for the Kent, England estate of Sir Winston Churchill.  The Chartwell Law Offices chose this tangible reminder of the legacy of Sir Winston Churchill to symbolize the firm’s fundamental commitment of providing clients with well reasoned advice, zealous representation and cheerful goodwill while engaging colleagues in the legal community with honor, respect, humor and integrity.
