European Union clears Delta to buy Northwest
BRUSSELS, Belgium – (AP) European antitrust regulators on Wednesday cleared Delta Air Lines Inc. to buy Northwest Airlines Corp., forming the world's largest airline.
The regulators said they saw no major competition problems for the deal in Europe despite an ongoing probe into possible issues with the airline alliance the two companies belong to. Full version (available to lexis.com subscribers)
