Insurers Support Climate Change and Emissions Reductions for Upcoming U.N. Environmental Conference in Copenhagen
Business Insurance reports that insurers do expect that some progress will be made at the U.N. Climate Change Conference next month in Copenhagen, Denmark. The article reports on the expectations of several European insurance executives, who agree that a global agreement to decrease greenhouse emissions is needed. Swiss Re, for instance, is actively involved in the Economics of Climate Adaptation Working Group. Similarly, Zurich Financial Services Group has produced a white paper that has been distributed to some conference participants.
