MONTGOMERY, Ala. – (Business Insurance) Jim L. Ridling, a banker and former insurance executive, has been named Alabama’s insurance commissioner. Ridling helped establish the River Bank & Trust and previously worked as president and chief executive officer of Southern Guaranty Insurance Co. in Montgomery. He will take office Sept. 15.
