Model Patent Jury Instructions Unveiled
On June 17, 2009, the National Jury Instruction Project members unveiled a set of model jury instructions for patent infringement cases. By request from Chief Judge Paul R. Michel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, a nine member panel created the Jury Instructions, with members from both the bench and bar. These instructions have not been endorsed by the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and are not intended to be “official” jury instructions.
